Mission: To find objects of interest in images using MTurk's distributed workforce. The objects found may be used in GemIdent as training for classification.

About

DistributeEyes was engineered by Adam Kapelner under the tutelage of Professor Susan Holmes. We developed it for two main purposes:

• To alleviate the burden of training in GemIdent. Training for multiple images can now be distributed in parallel to a global workforce. This will save an hour per GemIdent project.
• To locate any object of interest in images. GemIdent was developed for a specific type of object in a specific type of image. What if you are looking for something different? You can wait for a hand-tailored solution, or you can tap into the global workforce of MTurk who can mark your images cheaply and quickly.
